Augusta, MT (August 8, 2024) – A plane crashed near Augusta on Thursday in the Scapegoat Wilderness, and authorities responded to the scene after horseback riders in the area reported the incident.
The crash happened in a place that reportedly makes recovery efforts difficult at this time, though Flight Aware shows the plane took off from the Pullman/Moscow area around 11:20 a.m. before crashing just over an hour later.
