Fergus County, MT (May 15, 2025) – A 67-year-old woman from Malta died in a vehicle crash in Fergus County on Monday, May 12.
It happened along Highway 19 between Grass Range and Bohemian Corner just after 6:00 p.m. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident took place near mile marker 56, but the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.
The MHP says that the woman, who was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene; it’s unknown if anybody else was injured, however. In the interim, an inquiry into the cause of the incident is still ongoing, and witnesses were asked to step forward.
