St. Regis, MT (August 26, 2024) – The St. Regis Police Department reported delays and possible victim injuries on Interstate 90 westbound in Mineral County after a collision on Friday afternoon, August 23.
The accident apparently involved a large truck, which flipped over and blocked one lane west of St. Regis in the area of mile marker 24. The Montana Department of Transportation additionally advised motorists, especially motorcyclists, to avoid the area due to swarming bees, which may have caused the initial accident.
First responders, including EMTs and fire rescue teams, were also on the site to assess any injured victims. However, the total number of injured parties taken to the hospital is unknown, and no further details regarding the cause of the accident have been reported.
