
Loma, MT (October 17, 2024) – Per local authorities, a 16-year-old boy is dead after a collision with a construction truck on Tuesday morning.
According to a report from Montana Highway Patrol, the teen was headed east on Briese Road towards Highway 87. MHP said he continued onto the highway, where his Chevrolet truck collided with a Kenworth Construction truck for unknown reasons. The construction truck’s trailer rolled off the highway, while the cab of the teenager’s truck was separated from the rest of the truck, resulting in fatal injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth was a 46-year-old from Havre who was uninjured in the crash. Neither person involved in the crash has been identified. Currently, there is no information available regarding the suspected cause of the accident, but an investigation continues during the interim.
