Billings, MT – Julian Wolf Identified in Motorcycle Crash, Pursuit on 20th St

Billings, MT (September 19, 2024) – The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who was killed during a vehicle pursuit on Monday as 28-year-old Julian Wolf of Billings. YCSO Deputies were in pursuit of a pickup truck that failed to stop at the intersection of 20th Street and 4th Avenue North, where the truck collided with and killed Wolf.

The YCSO Deputies who were attempting to stop the truck and arrest the driver have been identified as Deputy Wesley Brutlag, a 6-year YCSO veteran, and Deputy Dylan Council, who has been with YCSO for roughly ten months. The truck driver, 42-year-old Jimmy Joe Flanagan of Billings, has since been arrested. However, the incident remains under active inquiry, and no additional information has been disclosed.
